SNEHA National Conference ‘Gender Matters: Intersecting Mental Health and Gender’
24 Oct 2017

SNEHA's Program on Prevention of Violence against Women and Children is holding a national conference ‘Gender Matters: Intersecting Mental Health and Gender’ in Mumbai on the 17th and 18th November, 2017. Mental health practitioners need to understand why a gender perspective is critical to their work, and women’s organisations need to recognise the importance of considering factors around mental health and wellbeing in their interventions with survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). For many organisations working at the intersection of these two issues, the conference can bring in critical perspectives on bridging the gap between different institutions. The conference will galvanise a response from practitioners and organisations, which in turn will open the floor to research, intersectional partnerships, and other initiatives. Mental health practitioners and NGOs working on gender-based violence are invited to participate. Kindly fill the participation form at .
